Meet Our Physicians
Michael E. Muncy, D.O., is an American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Forth Worth, Texas, where he also completed his residency in Orthopedics. Dr Muncy has been a practicing orthopaedic surgeon in the Dallas / Forth Worth Metroplex since 1995.
Dr Muncy has a very non-pretentious, down to earth relationship with his patients, involving them in every aspect of their care.
“My passion is helping patients get back to their active lifestyle as completely and quickly as possible,” says Dr. Muncy. “I spend the time required to understand each patient's problem and to identify the most effective treatment alternative.”
As a devoted husband and father, Dr. Muncy spends his time away from the office with his family. He is actively involved in his church and also enjoys music and traveling.
Dr. Muncy has a special interest in total joint replacement including training in the direct anterior approach to total hip replacement. In addition, Dr. Muncy also performs minimally invasive resurfacing techniques of the knee, shoulder, and great toe.

Stephanie R. Stephens, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic specialist. She has over a decade of experience in the latest orthopaedic medicine, including state-of-the-art surgery. Dr. Stephens also offers personal care and understanding for her patients, giving them the time and attention they need.
Dr. Stephens specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques and she has a special interest in Sports Medicine.
"I've always been athletic and am proud to have been the Most Valuable Player for my track team at Duke in my college days. Dealing with my own sports injuries and spending time with other people who were injured had a big impact on me. After medical school, I chose to specialize in orthopaedic surgery. It's fascinating, challenging and meaningful to me. Helping people get out of pain and functioning again is the best part of what I do."
Before joining Elite Orthopedics of Las Colinas, Dr. Stephens established her private orthopaedics practice, Orthopaedic Specialists of North Dallas.
